In addition to the Washi Tape Gift Tags and the Fun Pom Pom Gift Tags that I made this year, I also brought out the glitter. These gift tags are fun and would make a sparkly addition to any gift- Christmas related or not! I am sure that we all have a friend or two who would adore a touch of glitter with their next gift. If so, make a batch of these Glitter Gift Tags to attach to your next gift! Today, I’m using Glitter Glue and Glitter provided by CraftProjectIdeas.com (products available at Walmart).
Supplies:
- Blank gift tags (purchase these pre-cut or cut them with a Cricut or Silhouette)
- Glitter Glue
- Glitter
Start by covering one side of the gift tag with glitter glue. Rub the glue around so that it completely covers the tag.
Sprinkle glitter over the entire tag. Wait a minute, then gently shake the loose glitter off over a paper plate or something. Use that glitter to sprinkle back over the tag.
Let the gift tag dry completely. The gift tag may bend a bit in the middle while wet, but it will flatten out once it dries.
The only downside to these tags is that the glitter does shake off a bit, even once it’s dried. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never had anything with glitter on it where the glitter stayed put. Hey, all good things have a price, right?
In a Blink Time Frame: One tag takes about 5 minutes, not counting drying time.
Let the Kids Help: This is totally a kid friendly craft. The kids can rub the glitter glue on the tag and sprinkle the heck out of some glitter.
Glitter makes everything better! ๐
