If only I had been a Cricut user back when I was planning baby showers. I could have made so many cute things! I share frequently how I love using my Cricut to create personalized projects (like magnets, shirts, and more), but the Make It Now projects are an easy way to do projects that have already been tested and approved. Cricut offers many different Make It Now projects for baby showers and other occasions, like these Giraffe Baby Shower Favor and Gift Boxes that I am sharing today!
What is a Make It Now Project?
A Make It Now project is a project idea that Cricut already offers on their Cricut Design Space. These projects have cut files that are ready to go! They range from heat transfer vinyl shirt ideas to gift tag ideas to party favors.
Is there a charge for Make It Now Projects?
It all depends on the cutting files and writing files that are used in the project. If the shape or image is one that is not free, then there will be a charge. For Cricut Access subscribers, you will find that many of the Make It Now Projects are free under the subscription (like the cute Giraffe Boxes I’m sharing today).
How do I access Make It Now projects?
Open up Cricut Design Space. Under the file tab, click “Make It Now.” A new page will open that features the Make It Now projects. New or seasonal project ideas will be showcased on the home page. You can search the different Make It Now project categories on the right.
Are Make It Now Projects easy to use?
Yes! After selecting a project, the Design Space will tell you the steps to make the project and a full supply list.
Are Make It Now Projects customizable?
To a point, yes. Before making the project, there will be a “Customize” button on the bottom right that you can click to resize the project. You can make different tweaks to the project at this point prior to cutting.
I’m a fan of the giraffe trend for babies. They are so adorable! These Giraffe Baby Shower Favor and Gift Boxes were an easy Cricut Make It Now Project.
This is also a cute project for those wanting to experiment with the Cricut Washi Sheets!
I already had the supplies in my craft stash. The supplies included Cricut Washi Sheets, card stock, ribbon, a Cricut Standard Grip cutting mat, a Cricut Explore Air 2, and glue.

Oh those giraffes are perfect for baby showers. I can’t tell you how many baby animal themed showers I’ve thrown and attended in my time!
What a great tutorial and fantastic way to make projects more easily! Thank you for sharing!
Oh my gosh!!!! SOOOOOO CUTE!!!!
Baby animals are always perfect for a shower! Love how easy these cutouts are to make too.
DIY projects are fun to create, and this box looks like a piece of art! Love the theme for a baby shower. The same pattern would be great cards too!
These are so adorable! I’m not very crafts-y but I have been seeing all these glowing reviews or Cricut that I want one now lol!
