Gevalia Breakfast and Dessert Syrup with Gevalia K-cups #CupOfKaffe

We enjoy coffee all sorts of different ways in our house- iced coffee, hot coffee, coffee ice cream, and coffee syrup. But no matter how we have our coffee, we use our Keurig K-cups to get the job done. So when given the chance to try the Gevalia K-cups, I decided the rich (never bitter!) taste of Gevalia coffee would make an excellent Breakfast and Dessert syrup.

Ingredients:

2 Gevalia Kaffe K-cups
1 3/4 cups of sugar

Brew the 2 Gevalia K-cups using the Keurig brewing system. Brew them on the smallest cup setting.
Pour the contents of the two brews into a small saucepan. Add the 1 3/4 cups of sugar. Heat the saucepan to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 20 minutes. Let the syrup cool. The syrup may be stored in the refrigerator in an air tight container for up to a month.

Use the syrup to bring a rich coffee flavor to breakfast foods and desserts. What are my favorite uses? Cinnamon rolls and ice cream!

I found my Gevalia Kaffe K-cups at Walmart (view my shopping trip here) in the coffee aisle. The K-cups make anything from brewing a cup of coffee to creating a simple recipe quick and easy. The flavor of Gevalia Kaffe is excellent for recipes because it doesn’t leave a bitter taste. And using the new K-cups means the rich taste is available in twenty seconds!

ooooh! That sounds so good! I hate maple syrup, so a coffee flavored alternative would be perfect for me. Now I just need a Keurig…lol.
