Faux Diamond Wrapped Mason Jar

Sometimes moms need a little bling! This Faux Diamond Wrapped Mason Jar will add bling to mom’s counter or office space. I love chalk painted mason jars, but I know that they are not everyone’s cup of tea. Sometimes mom needs some bling! I’ve had a roll of faux diamond in my craft stash for a few years now, but I haven’t used it all until now. This Faux Diamond Wrapped Mason Jar is a cute gift for Mother’s Day, mom’s birthday, or even for Christmas. It uses few supplies, and, if you already have a jar on hand, it is relatively inexpensive. The project takes less than 15 minutes, and I can add extras (like make-up brushes, office supplies, etc.) to personalize it even more for the recipient.

Supplies:

  • Pint sized mason jar (can be wide mouth or regular)
  • Faux diamond wrap (also called diamond mesh)
  • Bow
  • Glue Dots Glue Lines
  • Scissors
  • Optional: Glue Dots Craft Dots

Make sure that the mason jar is clean and dry.

Place the faux diamond wrap on the mason jar, just under the lip, to examine the height of the faux diamond wrap as compared to the height of the jar. Cut off any needed faux diamond wrap to make the two as close in height as possible. I had to remove two rows of faux diamond material.

Apply Glue Dots Glue Lines around the mason jar in even intervals, beginning right under the lip of the jar.

Press the faux diamond roll around the jar, pressing it so that it is even. When the ends of the wrap meet, cut the faux diamond wrap so that it meets perfectly. With this type of wrap, it is not a good idea to overlap the ends or the material will be too bulky.

Use the Glue Dots Glue Lines (or optionally, Glue Dots Craft Dots) to adhere the bow to the front and center of the mason jar.
