Easy Valentine’s Day Snack Mix for a Large Group

Are you looking for a simple Valentine’s Day snack recipe? Here’s an easy Valentine’s Day Snack Mix that is perfect for a large group! If you’re looking for other recipe ideas, head to the bottom of the page where I’m partnering with other bloggers to bring you a collection of Valentine’s Day recipes.

As a mom of four kids, I know how picky kids can be. In spite of making their own baby food and feeding them all the same things over the years, all four kids like different things to eat. When I signed up to bring a snack for our Awana group recently, I wanted to take an easy snack that would allow a few different options for those picky eaters or the kids who all like different stuff. This snack mix is great for a group for Valentine’s Day because 1) it does not include nuts, 2) the chocolate is not melted all over the popcorn for kids who do not like this, and 3) the ingredients are not melted together with butter or marshmallows, so the kids can pick out what they like from the mix.

Ingredients:

  • Popped popcorn
  • Pretzels
  • Melting chocolate
  • Sprinkles (in Valentine’s Day colors)
  • Valentine’s Day chocolate candies
  • Wax paper

Place the melting chocolate in the microwave and melt according the the package directions. Once it’s complete, dip the pretzels into the chocolate. On some of the pretzels, dip them into the sprinkles. Place the pretzels on wax paper to dry.

Grab the chocolate candies.

Mix the popcorn, chocolate candies, and the pretzels together in a large bowl. Separate the mix into individual treat cups or bags. I placed mine into bags for easy transport to our Awana group (and to make it easier for the leaders to disperse).

There are several cute Valentine’s Day treat cups and plastic baggies in the stores that would be perfect for this snack mix. Drop me a comment below if you find some adorable ones!
