Thank you to Rustoleum for sending me a box of paint and goodies to make this lovely easy heart mason jar for Valentine’s Day. This post contains affiliate links.
Mason jar crafts are one of my favorite projects. They are versatile, quick, and can be made for any holiday! Rather than adding a heart with a vinyl stencil, in this mason jar craft I’m using a wooden heart for a 3D project pop!
Supplies:
- Mason Jar
- Wooden Heart
- Painter’s Tape
- Hot glue gun and hot glue
- Testors CreateFX Glitter Paint in Red
- Testors CreateFX Glitter Paint in Silver
- Testors Acrylic Paint in White
Step 1
Tape off half of the mason jar with painters tape. On a protected surface, spray paint the bottom half of the jar with the Testors CreateFX Glitter Paint in silver. Let it dry completely.
Step 2
Paint the wooden heart with the white acrylic paint. Let dry completely. I suggest painting the front and the back of the heart. Since the back of the heart can be seen through the glass, it’s nice to have the wooden heart looking pretty on both sides.
Step 3
Spray the wooden heart with the Testors CreateFX Glitter Paint in red. Let this dry completely.
Step 4
Peel the painter’s tape off of the glass jar.
Step 5
Hot glue the heart to the center of the jar.
My husband brought me this lovely bouquet of flowers recently. They fit perfectly into the jar and look great for Valentine’s Day.
