I’m still cleaning and organizing my craft supplies. I’m finding that it takes a while to clean and organize when I am continuously distracted by crafting with all of the new items that I find. These Easy DIY Flower Earrings are one particular case of this.
I am not a jewelry making expert by any means. I purchased a variety of jewelry findings and beads a few years ago, but I had just as many jewelry making fails as I did successes. Even with my jewelry crafting inconsistencies, these flower earring are a project that even I can master.
I made these for my daughter. She loves floral earrings, and stud style earrings are her favorite to wear.
Supplies for these Easy DIY Flower Earrings:
- (2) matching flower cabochons
- (2) earring studs for jewelry making – Make sure that the jewelry stud surfaces are close to the same size. The stud surface should not be so large that it is visible when the floral cabochon is glued onto it. It should also not be so small that the flower does not have enough of a surface to adhere to.
- E-6000 glue
Make sure that the back of the flower cabochons and the surface of the earring studs are clean and dry, particularly if they have been in storage or rolling around the craft cabinet like mine were.
Apply E-6000 glue to one of the earring stud surfaces. Press the flower cabochon to the glue. Carefully hold the flower to the stud for a few minutes until it is secure enough to stay on its own (approximately 2-5 minutes).
Repeat with the other cabochon and earring stud.
Allow the glue to cure for 24-72 hours before wearing the earrings.
These are so quick and easy that we could make a pair to coordinate with every outfit.
