My daughter received her school pictures back this past week– just in time for Easter! I’ve had an idea in my head for a magnet project with my Cricut, so I decided to use the photos for this Easter Egg Photo Magnet. This magnet is sized for wallet size photos.
Supplies:
- Cricut with Easter cartridge- I have the Easter 2010 cartridge.
- Spring card stock
- Chip board (thick card stock)
- Scotch double sided tape
- Glue
- Scissors
Begin by cutting a 4″ egg shape. Cut a 3″ egg shape inside the 4″ egg shape. I had to try this a few times to get it just right.
Cut a 4″ egg shape from the chip board.
Cover the chip board egg with double sided tape.
Lay the photo on the chip board egg and cut it to fit.
Glue the card stock “frame” over the egg. I used pink Elmer’s glue because it was all I could find. The little one hides all my glue.
Glue a magnet strip on the back.
Done!
I paired this with a matching Easter cupcake topper that I shared last week.
I’m just getting used to my Silhouette, and this Cricut is making me second guess myself! Such a cute easy project Melanie!
So cute!
Thank you!
She is such and sweet girl! Cute idea!
Thanks, Nancy!
