Assemble a fun Easter Egg Hunt in a Bag for celebrating Easter at home this year! Items in this post are provided by Oriental Trading. All opinions are mine and mine alone.
Are you planning your Easter celebrations at home this year? It looks like we will be. My husband and I were in the midst of planning a children’s ministry egg hunt, and I had 1,000 eggs in my garage. Yes, 1,000 EASTER EGGS. We still wanted our kids to have a fun Easter celebration, so this past weekend we put together these Easter Egg Hunt in a Bag kits especially for our children’s ministry kiddos!
Disclaimer: We used the utmost sanitation when creating these kits. However, in the current environment, we realize that not everyone may be comfortable in receiving one. My husband will be checking with parents to see if they would like one delivered, if they would like to drive through the parking lot and pick one up, or if they want to decline altogether.
We created these Easter Egg Hunt in a Bag kits using items that we had already ordered for the Easter celebration. However, if you are ordering your items this week, you can customize the bags however you like. Our particular bag example is religious because we are using it for a children’s ministry. However, yours does not necessarily have to be. I’m including Easter Egg Hunt in a Bag printables below- one religious and one not.
Supplies for the Easter Egg Hunt in a Bag
- (1) bag per child
- 10-12 filled Easter Eggs per child
- (1) specialty egg per child – A specialty egg is an Easter egg that is not the standard size or shape.
- (1) coloring craft per child
- (1) plush animal per child
- (1) candy treat per child
We ordered all supplies from Oriental Trading. They have a good selection of religious and non-religious Easter items, especially specialty eggs!
We then stapled an Easter Egg Hunt in a Bag printable to the front of the bag.

I hope these lift the spirits of our kiddos at Easter time!
