These Easter Candy Hugs made with the Cricut are a cute Easter basket filler for kids! This post contains affiliate links.
We only give the kids a few little items in their Easter basket, but I try to make what we do place in there as festive as possible. These Easter Candy Hugs are one of the newest Make It Now items in Cricut Design Space, and, I have to admit, they are super cute! If you have a pen, some card stock, and a little bit of time, these are Easter basket ready.
Supplies:
- Cricut Explore Air or Cricut Explore Air 2
- Cricut Standard Grip cutting mat
- Card stock
- Cricut pen in black
- Loose wrapped candy
- Tape or other adhesive
Open up Cricut Design Space. Click on the Make It Now selection (I think it is under the “open” tab). Search for the Easter Candy Hugs.
Click on “Make It Now” on the bottom right hand corner. A new screen will load with the project ready to print and write!
Load card stock onto the standard grip cutting mat and click “Go.”
Once all the animals have been cut, place one piece of wrapped candy in the center. Wrap the arms around the candy and secure it with tape or other adhesive.
The animals consist of a rabbit, a sheep, and duck, and a bird. They can also double as little animals to color (especially if you create them all in white card stock).
The Make It Now project calls for the animals to be in different colors, but you can keep reloading the same color if you want to cut them in identical colors.
Which one is you favorite? I’m going to have to go with the rabbit and the duck, but they are all adorable! Create easy Easter Basket fillers with Cricut and these Easter Candy Hugs.

What a cute idea! I love how the wrapper “hugs” the candy!
