The older my kids get, the more that I recognize a specific problem: stinky shoes. My boys are still little, but even they get smelly shoes after playing outdoors for a length of time. This can be a big problem for moms of athletes. Stinky shoes + a Gym Bag = Yucky Smells! This DIY Shoe Deodorizer Spray, made with essential oils, is a great way to make even the stinkiest shoes smell great!
- Small spray bottle
- Rubbing alcohol
- Nature’s Truth Purify Essential Oil
Wash and dry and spray bottle completely. Fill the bottle a little more than halfway with rubbing alcohol.
Fill the remainder of the bottle with water, leaving a minimum of 1 inch of space at the top of the bottle.
Add 10 drops of the Nature’s Truth Purify Essential Oil.
Put the lid on the bottle and shake it up to mix the liquids. Spray lightly into shoes and let the shoes dry.
I sprayed a few pairs of shoes while in the garage over the weekend, and my entire garage still smells awesome! The Nature’s Truth Purify Essential Oil has a sweet and citrusy scent that reminds of gentle cleansing.
