My little one goes back to school next week! Eek! I have to admit that I have my own reservations. I am not ready for the “schedule” yet. I enjoy the flexibility that summer brings. I’m not looking forward to getting clothes laid out the night before or packing lunches. For one, my daughter is a picky dresser. Secondly, she’s also a picky eater. That’s double trouble for me. We’ve spent this week getting her clothes ready and creating a snack and lunch list. This way, she has pre-approved outfits from which to choose each day, and I have a list of snacks and food that I know she’ll eat on hand for her lunchbox.
Since she’s still FROZEN obsessed, several of her outfits revolve around Elsa and the gang. We even made this fun DIY Painted FROZEN Inspired Shirt to match a pair of clearance leggings that found last week.
Here’s how you can easily make one, too!
Supplies:
- White t-shirt
- Vinyl snowflake outline- I used my Cricut for this.
- Turquoise acrylic paint
- Fabric paint medium
- Small mixing cup
- Paintbrush
- Cardboard square
Peel the vinyl from the backing and attach it to the shirt. Press all the edges down tightly. You do not want the paint to leak under the vinyl. Place a piece of cardboard between the shirt layers.
Follow the directions on the fabric medium to mix the acrylic paint with the fabric medium. Paint the mixture into the vinyl spaces.
After the paint has dried the proper amount of time (see the fabric medium bottle for directions), peel the vinyl off of the shirt.
If the fabric paint instructions state to heat set, do that at this point.
Your little one’s new shirt is ready!
Keep the FROZEN theme going with these yummy FROZEN branded packaging grapes! One fruit that my picky eater will devour is grapes, and seeing Elsa smiling from a package of grapes makes them even better.
I’m excited to see that Disney is putting a few friendly faces in the produce aisle. And I like knowing that I can pack a bag of washed grapes inside of her FROZEN backpack for a snack that I am sure that she will eat.
You can find these FROZEN branded grapes in the produce section at your local Walmart.
Is your little one still FROZEN obsessed? Which fruit or vegetable would you like to see Disney help market next?
My kids went back yesterday, including my youngest, starting Pre-K, so I’m feeling it today. I really love this shirt. My little one is still Frozen obsessed too, but to be honest, I am not a fan of character tee shirts in general. This is great because it gets the point across about being “Frozen” w/out all the commercial pictures.
Such a pretty design!!
wow!! So cute! That shirt is adorable, and who doesn’t love food with your favorite characters on it!! YUMMY!! My kids also love when I freeze grapes… so yummy too, literal “frozen” grapes.
That shirt is so adorable!!
Wow what a great idea!!!!! My daughter would love this!!!!
This is just beautiful and can be worn year round. I prefer the understand theme.
very cute!
This shirt is AMAZE. I love the winter in summertime thing. It seems to make me feel cooler than I actually am. #client
So cute. I tried to get my daughter to watch frozen this morning but no luck. Yet 😉 she’s 17 months.
