What do you get for the mother who has everything for Mother’s Day? I like to go with a little something bought and a little something hand made. Hand made cards are one of my favorite things to make for all holidays, but especially for Mother’s Day. Moms have loved hand made cards since we were little kids, so it only stands to reason that they would like a grown up hand made card, too, right?
I enjoy simple card projects that use only a few supplies, and this card craft is the same.
Supplies:
- Blank card
- Paper doily
- Glue
- Gold washi tape
- Card stock rectangle
- Scissors
- Optional: water colors, paintbrush (for decorating card elements)
Begin by decorating the rectangle with whatever saying that you would like. I’m using a printable saying that I painted with water colors and let dry thoroughly.
Fold the paper doily in half. Glue it on the fold of the blank card.
Apply the gold washi tape on the card. Use as many washi tape strips as works for your card. Cut along the edges with scissors.
Glue the card stock rectangle to the center of the card.
