Seasonal jewelry has never been my thing. Now that I have small kids, I’ve discovered that they think mommy is super festive if she wears accessories to coordinate with the holiday. My latest CraftProjectIdeas.com box came with a package of assorted jingle bells. Most CraftProjectIdeas crafts are geared towards kids, but these DIY Jingle Bell Earrings are perfect for teens and adults, too. These earrings are easy and take under 10 minutes to make.
Seriously. Ten minutes. Maybe even less if you don’t have to scavenge through the craft cabinet for supplies like I did!
Supplies:
Use the pliers to open one jump ring. Open it by twisting it slightly to the side rather than opening front to back.
Place the open jump ring on one jingle bell.
Place the jump ring with the jingle bell through the bottom ring on the earring post. Use the pliers to close the ring by twisting it back.
Complete the above steps with the other earring.
Make as many as you want for gifts! All of the supplies for this project are typically sold in bulk, so you should have plenty to make inexpensive gifts.
When I first began experimenting with jewelry making, I was intimidated by the unfamiliar supplies and techniques. Once I acquired a few basic supplies and completed a few projects, I feel much more comfortable making simple jewelry pieces now. These DIY Jingle Bell Earrings are the perfect project to get over that intimidation slump and to start a small stash of basic jewelry making supplies.
