Halloween is quickly approaching. I can’t believe how much I have to do in a short time span. The boys costumes are going to be easy to make- it’s just a matter of sitting down and actually doing it. Kids receive so many candy at Halloween (I couldn’t believe how much until I had kids of my own!), so sometimes it’s nice to be that mom who gives non-candy Halloween goodies. I’ve ran across several great Halloween candy alternative lists, but not maybe that feature things that crafters can DIY themselves. So whether you need a candy alternative or a little gift holder to put the goodie in, here are 15 DIY Halloween Candy Alternatives for the DIY enthusiast!
Be sure to click over and pin these from the original source. Click the link below each photo to pin and to get the instructions on how to make each item. There are several gift ideas in here, as well as tutorials for coupon envelopes and boxes.
Spider Soap from Milk and Cuddles
Monster Bingo Cards from Artsy Fartsy Mama
Candy Corn Popcorn from The Benson Street, guest posting at One Artsy Mama- Okay, so technically this isn’t the healthiest, non-sugary Halloween treat. But it’s not actually candy, and I thought it was pretty cool.
Spooky Monster Pencils from Thrifty Jinxy
Halloween Eyeball Rings from Club Chica Circle
Treat Pouches for stickers, etc. from Confessions of an Overworked Mom
Monster Finger Puppets from The Life of Jennifer Dawn
Monster Craft Sticks from Crafts by Amanda
Squeeze Pouch printable from Jen A. Street
Glittered Cockroaches from Pet Scribbles
Halloween Paper Treat Boxes from Core’dinations- These treat boxes are pictured with candy in the tutorial, but I think they would be perfect for a ring, sticker, or other non-candy gift.
Lego Pumpkin Treat Bags from Repeat Crafter Me
Halloween Hair Bows from Pitter and Glink- Bethany made these hair bows as an accent to a bag, but they are cute to gift all on their own!
Halloween Coupon Holders from It Happens in a Blink- Do you like to gift those little Halloween coupons? Here is a tutorial for a coupon holder. Other things such as pencils and stickers can be placed in the holder, as well.
Fall Bookmarks from One Artsy Mama
Surprise! I have a 16th DIY feature for you- these Halloween pillow boxes from Crafts Unleashed are also great for placing stickers or other non-candy treats in.
