Are you headed for a Valentine’s date night? These DIY Faux Leather Heart Earrings are a quick and easy Cricut machine project, and they are perfect for faux leather scraps. I like how simple these are, yet the pebbled faux leather lends a pretty texture to the earrings.
DIY Faux Leather Heart Earrings Supplies:
- Cricut machine (I’m using the Cricut Explore Air 2, though the Cricut Maker would work, too!)
- Cricut StandardGrip cutting mat
- Cricut Pebbled Faux Leather in your choice of color
- Earring posts
- Hot glue and hot glue gun
Open Cricut Design Space. For your convenience, my prepared heart image for this project can be found HERE. Please note that the heart images in the file are the smallest heart images that should be cut. The hearts are just large enough to fully cover the earring posts. Feel free to make them larger, if desired, but making them smaller is not recommended.
Alternatively, you may also open Cricut Design Space and create your own heart shapes. Be sure to make two, one for each earring.
Place the Faux Leather on the cutting mat. For more information on using Cricut Faux Leather, be sure to check out the Complete Guide to Using Cricut Faux Leather. Load the cutting mat into the Cricut machine. Follow the steps in Cricut Design Space to cut the hearts.
Place a small amount of hot glue on the circle portion of the earring posts. Adhere one earring post to the back side (felt lined side) of each heart.
Let the glue dry completely, and you are ready for your date night.
