I recently accomplished my largest applique piece yet!! And I was happy with how it turned out.
I made and customized this Baby Play Mat for a baby shower. I based it off of Simplicity Pattern 2389. I used the pattern to cut out all the pieces, but now that I have done this one time, I think I could do it again with other animals and make my own pieces.
The main change that I made from the pattern instructions was I did not use blanket binding for the edges. Do you know how much that stuff is at JoAnn’s?? Like, $7.50 a package, and this project called for 2 packs. Umm…no!! So I
