We are wrapping up the 7 days of Creation in the Craft Through the Bible Series. All of the crafts thus far have been inexpensive paper plate crafts, and this last one falls into the same category. The account of the seventh day of creation is in Genesis 2:1-2. For Creation Day 7, I’ve prepared a very simple rest craft.
Supplies:
- Uncoated paper plate
- Assorted beads
- Glitter glue
- Optional: Hole punch and ribbon/twine for hanging craft
Let the child use the glitter glue to create the word “REST” in the center of the plate.
Grab the beads and let the child place beads over the glitter letters. This is a neat craft that lets you use up any leftover assorted beads. You know, those beads that you have leftover from other crafts and have never used. My assortment of beads came in a plastic bin this way.
If desired, punch a hole in the top of the craft and string ribbon or twine through it so that the craft can hang.
An alternative to using beads is to use an assortment of buttons.
Here’s a printable that you can use to glue on the back of the craft. Right click on the photo below, save it to the computer, and then print it off.

I am using it on small plates and gluing them to poster board–
You are welcome. That is a great idea! Feel free to post a photo of it on my Facebook page if you like. http://www.facebook.com/ithappensinablink
