If you’re just jumping in, welcome to the Craft Through the Bible Series! We are working our way through the days of creation while focusing on inexpensive paper plate crafts that are great for home or church use! Today is Day 4, which is the Sun, Moon, and Stars. The full account may be found in Genesis 1:14-19.
Supplies:
- Uncoated paper plate
- Yellow paint
- Grey paint
- Paintbrush
- Black marker
- Chipboard stars (these can be purchased at an arts and crafts store) OR paper stars cut from card stock
- Glow in the Dark Mod Podge
- Glue stick
- Optional: Hole punch and twine/ribbon for hanging craft
Draw a curved line that separates the plate in half.
Paint one side of the plate yellow and the other side grey. Let dry completely.
Use the glue stick to adhere the stars to the plate.
Paint the Glow in the Dark Mod Podge over the stars. Be sure to use a clean brush for this.
Let the Mod Podge dry completely.
As in weeks past, I’m including this printable that you can use to print off and glue to the back of the craft to help your child keep track of the creation days. Right click the printable, save it to your computer, and then print using your regular printing software.
If desired, punch a hole in the top of the plate. Thread twine or ribbon through the hole for hanging.
