I’m doing something this year that I have never done before- hosting a New Year’s Eve party! I plan on it being very informal. After all, I do have four kids and all their gear circling around the house. I’m hoping for a fun evening of adult conversation with friends. It’s not an adult-only party, so I’m planning food and drinks for kids, too. This week, my daughter and I gave this punch recipe a try. I can happily say that it is five-year old approved! I enlisted her to help me name it, and she chose Cranberry Mingle and Mix Punch as the winner. It’s easy to create and can be made ahead of time!
Ingredients:
- 2 liter 7UP®
- 2 liter Cranberry Canada Dry Ginger Ale®
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1 cup whole cranberries, rinsed
- A little less than 1/4 cup lemon juice
Pour the pineapple juice and lemon juice in a pitcher that holds 64 ounces. Add 1 cup 7UP® for every 2 cups Cranberry Canada Dry Ginger Ale® until the pitcher is almost full. Do not fill the pitcher to the top. Stir the liquids together to make a festive red punch!
Add the cranberries at the top.
I have an unusual daughter in the fact that she doesn’t like carbonated beverages or juice. She only drinks milk and water. I was expecting her to not even try this punch, but she surprised me by not only trying it but also liking it! She called it her “favorite punch ever.” I then took this to a holiday party where it was also a hit. I can assuredly say that my New Year’s Eve party punch is chosen!
Grab the ingredients while picking up your other New Year’s Eve party items at Walmart. The 2 liters are conveniently found in the beverage aisle.
