Cookies & Crème Banana Split

“This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and EDWARDS®, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #EdwardsPies   https://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV”

Banana splits are iconic. I remember my mother telling me stories of when she worked at an ice cream shop as a teenager. She was a pro at making banana splits. The traditional dessert is a summer time treat, making it’s appearance at parties and cookouts alike. There are several ways to vamp up a banana split, but today I’m sharing a way that we recently changed them up for a summer picnic treat. These Cookies & Crème Banana Splits are a fun way to create quick and easy flavor, and they are not as dense as ice cream.

Ingredients:

  • EDWARDS® Cookies and Crème Pie
  • Caramel sauce
  • Ripe bananas
  • Cherries

Begin by thawing the EDWARDS® Cookies and Crème Pie as directed on the box.

The EDWARDS® Cookies and Crème Pie is delicious in the banana split because of the tasty crust plus the filling. Peel a banana and cut it in half lengthwise. Spoon just enough of the EDWARDS® Cookies and Crème Pie to fill the middle.

Top with cherries and caramel sauce.

Just think of all the combinations of banana splits that you can make with various pie flavors! We’re looking forward to trying them out with the EDWARDS® Strawberry Crème Pie, too.

I purchased my pies at Walmart, and if you’re a coupon user, be sure to take advantage of the following coupon offer. Save $1.00 on any ONE (1) EDWARDS® Whole Pie with the Ibotta digital rebate (while supplies last). Edwards pies are tasty as they are, but they are also fun for recipe creation. Get in the kitchen and experiment!

LOVE using the pie! This method makes it doable to have banana splits at a picnic, no need trying to keep the ice cream frozen solid!!!!

This is a clever idea. I remember banana splits, they used to be the largest thing you could buy in the ice cream shop…now they’re in the middle. Does anyone really like the pineapple topping? The only time I’ve had it was on a banana split.
