This Colorable Teacher Appreciation Card made with the Cricut Explore Air 2 is a good way to get the kids involved in teacher appreciation cards. This post contains affiliate links.
It’s Teacher Appreciation week! Does your school celebrate this week? Yesterday, my daughter took in a “Thank You” card for each of her teachers, including her specials teachers. I made these colorable cards with my Cricut Explore Air 2. She colored them and signed her name at the bottom while writing each teacher’s name at the top. Creating coloring sheets is one of my favorite things to make with my Cricut, and I’ll show you how quick and easy that these were. The back is left blank so that the child can also write a personal note to their teacher if they desire.
Supplies:
- Cricut Explore Air or Cricut Explore Air 2
- White card stock
- Cricut Black Pen (0.4)
- Cricut Standard Grip Cutting Mat
- Glue stick
- Colored card stock
Open Cricut Design Space. Click “Insert Shapes.” Insert a square onto the grid. Click the “unlock” icon on the lower left hand of the shape. Pull the arrow to form a 4×6 rectangle. Click “Insert Shapes.” Insert a heart. Pull the arrow on the heart to adjust the size to fit into the card (utilizing the “unlock” icon).
Move the heart into the center of the rectangle. Add text to the center of the heart.
Add lines above and below the heart. These lines are for the student to write their teacher’s name and their own name.
IMPORTANT!! Make sure that the lines, heart, and text are set to “Write” and not cut. The only image that should be cut is the rectangle.
Attach all the items together by selecting each item and click “Attach” on the lower left column.
Send the image to the Cricut for cutting/writing.
Glue the finished card on a piece of slightly larger piece of card stock. I had a few pre-cut colored card stock cards that I split in half to use for this.
