Can’t Wait Willow Children’s Book Review (and win a copy for yourself!)

This Giveaway is now closed.

My little one loves to read, and so we are excited each time we get to review a new book. Today, I was sent a copy of Christy Ziglar’s new book, Can’t Wait Willow, to review. All opinions of this book are my own.

Can't Wait Willow

Can’t Wait Willow is a fun, colorful book that will catch the eye of any little girl or boy. But I found it to be more than just eye-candy. The book has an amazing message perfect for preschoolers and young kids.

Willow, the main book character, is very excited to visit the circus. However, a string of bad decisions leave her not able to participate in her highly anticipated day. Due to a kind ringmaster who believes in second chances, Willow is given the chance to make the right decisions.

Can’t Wait Willow book

I always like books that allow for meaningful conversation with my daughter. This book definitely allows for that. After reading the book, we were able to talk about making the right choices, the importance of a good attitude and how God gives us second chances. And we talked a little about the circus, too. 🙂 The author of the book also provides a printable poster and rewards chart on her website that can be used with the kiddos. Awesome!

Here is a bit about the book from a my sponsor:

About the Book:

Willow is so excited that the Over-the-Top Circus has finally come to town! The only problem is, that when left to her own devices, she can’t say “no” to some good things. On the way to the show, she is distracted by enticing treats and fun that she just can’t turn down. Willow arrives late and is sad to find that, not only has she has run out of time, but money, and she won’t be able to enjoy the pink cotton candy she’s been dreaming of. Willow is given valuable advice and a second chance and is ultimately taught the lesson that sometimes in life you have to say “no” to good things to end up with something great!

About the Illustrator:

Thanks to her first grade teacher, who recognized her superior skills in drawing a robin, Luanne Marten has been drawing, painting and sketching ever since.  She is a great experimenter and has a fresh, whimsical approach to bring her characters to life.

So how about a chance to review the book for yourself with your kiddos?
