Okay, so it’s no secret that I have no time to cook these days. Anything that requires lots of ingredients and lots of effort is a no-go for my family. We’ve eaten more take-out in the past nine months than I’ve eaten in my entire life, and I’m pretty much exhausted of eating from restaurants. I need some homemade food pronto! Anytime there is a new product on the market designed to make a mom’s life easier, I have to try it out. Kraft Recipe Makers are the latest and greatest meal starter at my Walmart store. I went shopping for a new recipe idea, and Kraft made it simple with their Recipe Makers and meal ideas.
Kraft Recipe Makers come in nine varieties. I was tempted to purchase and try them all, and I probably will eventually, but first I decided upon the Asian Fish Taco Kraft Recipe Makers kit.
One thing that I noticed about each kit is that, in addition to the recipe on the back of the box, each also had other recipes inside the box. I like versatility in my meals, so this was a plus for me. In fact, I didn’t make the obvious recipe that the Asian Fish Taco Recipe Makers intended. Once reading the other recipes, I found myself craving the Baked Teriyaki Fish.
Bring on the tilapia! And for those cooks who hate doing the dishes, this recipe is a one-baking-dish recipe! This recipe is from the folks over at Kraft Recipes. I substituted white rice for brown rice for the best nutritional value.
- 1 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen stir-fry vegetables, thawed
- 1-1/2 cups instant brown rice, uncooked
- 1 pkg. KRAFT RECIPE MAKERS Asian Fish Tacos
- 1 cup water
- 6 tilapia fillets
- Heat oven to 375°F and spray 13×9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Stir in vegetables, rice, Baking Sauce and water in prepared baking dish.
- Top with fish and Finishing Sauce.
- Bake the meal for 30 min. or until fish flakes easily with fork.
This Recipe Makers is definitely a Recipe Keeper! Kraft Recipe Makers are designed to maximize family meal time. I’m excited to try out a few other varieties!
It looks fantastic, Melanie! I love the recipes you share, they always look realistically do-able for a busy family and so yummy!!
Melanie, my family absolutely loves fish and everyone (except my middle guy) love oriental food. This just may be something I need to make!
Looks delicious, Melanie! It’s awesome that there’s both a cooking sauce and a finishing sauce.
I am so excited about the variety and range of flavor profiles these kits come in- I am slowly working my way through them all, and I just may like them more than the Fresh take kits!
Ohh, that’s tough! I love the Fresh Take kits, too!
I always love baked fish but haven’t tried baking it with teriyaki. My hubby always bakes fish with garlic and butter.
I actually hate cooking, but love eating…so I cook in spite of myself. I do more semi-homemade recipes than anything and I don’t care if anyone judges me for it! LOL. I’m not very good with fish, I must try your recipe. for what it’s worth
This looks delicious! I love the flavor of Teriyaki!
I find tilapia to be so bland sometimes – these sauces look yummy!
Thanks~
We love fish! This looks like a great way to liven up our usual fish dinner! And you can’t go wrong with one dish dinners I LOVE those! Thanks so much for sharing.:)
What a great dinner and it looks easy to make!
Thanks!
Wow! I have not seen these kits yet. I will have to look for them. That meal looks so good! I always cook at home but I feel like I get in a rut and make the same things all the time. would love to try something different!
They really are cool.
