It’s no secret that I’m a fan of a great children’s book. I think children’s books need more meaning- more life lessons, more faith based lessons. Audrey Bunny is an awesome children’s book that fulfills this category.
I always hate book spoilers, but here’s a bit about Audrey Bunny. From best-selling women’s author Angie Smith, this is a sweet children’s book about a stuffed animal named Audrey Bunny who fears her imperfections make her unworthy of a little girl’s love. She’ll learn the truth soon enough, and young readers will learn that everyone is special and wonderfully made by God.
Even as young as preschool age, children realize the differences in one another, and sometimes they point them out in not-so-subtle ways. This book reiterates that no one is too flawed to not be accepted and special to God.
My daughter liked the sweetness of this book, and I recommend it for anyone as a great bedtime read! It also provokes great discussion with your child, which is always a plus. The pages are full color and so pretty.
