Last week, while working on a project, I realized that I needed a heart garland as a photo prop for one of my projects. I didn’t have time to pull out my cutting machine and make a garland, which would have been my first choice, so I went scavenging for other items that I could use to make a quick garland. Within five minutes, I had this Heart Garland ready to go!
Supplies:
- Pipe cleaners (also called Fuzzy Sticks)- thanks to CraftProjectIdeas.com for supplying the fuzzy sticks for today’s project
- String or rope to hang the hearts
- Optional: Something to attach the hearts permanently to the string
I didn’t use anything to permanently attach the hearts to the string, but I wasn’t using it for anything permanent. If you’re using this on a bulletin board, etc., try using a glue dot or staple to attach the hearts to the rope.
You’ll need one pipe cleaner for each heart. The amount of hearts you need is dependent on how long you want to garland to be. Begin by folding the pipe cleaner in half.
Bend the ends down towards one another.
Twist the ends and form the tops like a heart.
Continue making hearts until you have the number needed.
String them on a rope or cord. If desired, use something to permanently attach them.

I love how simple this project is yet so cute!
