Do all of your friends adore all the cute Cricut crafts that you create? Do they tell you how intimidated they are by a Cricut machine? A Cricut Craft Night is a great way to introduce your friends to the world of Cricut crafting + create fun memories at the same time. Here are 5 Cricut Craft Night Ideas to get you started!
Tips:
- If cutting with the machine at the craft event, try to limit the attendees to 2 per machine OR have other activities so that the crafters can use the machine in rounds.
- Keep in mind that you do not have to actually have everyone use the machine if you are pre-cutting the design files for the guests.
All of the ideas below can be made with a Cricut Explore Air machine or a Cricut Maker machine. Thank you to Clever Pink Pirate and Eclectic Momsense for organizing the first two of these craft ideas during a recent craft night!
5 Cricut Craft Night Ideas
#1 State Home Shirts – Allow everyone to express their love for their home state with these cute “Home” shirts. The materials are minimal- a Cricut machine, Cricut mat, home iron or Cricut EasyPress, and iron-on vinyl. The design files for each state will be more involved if you are attempting to design them yourself. Or you can find already designed ones at Design Bundles.
#2 Water bottle – Crafters can get a first hand experience with simple designs with a water bottle craft. They can start simple with a monogram or phrase of their choice or decide upon a more elaborate design. This craft also uses minimal supplies- a Cricut machine, Cricut mat, permanent vinyl, transfer paper, and a bottle per crafter.

#3 Painted Mason Jar – If you have several empty jars lying around, this can be an inexpensive craft project. Use vinyl scraps to create the stencils for the jars. To make it easy, cut several stencil options ahead of time and allow guests to customize their paint color for the jar. A Cricut machine, Cricut mat, vinyl, transfer paper, mason jars, chalk paint, and brushes round out the supply list for this one.
#4 Keychains – Order ahead of craft night and you’ll be prepared to make cute personalized key chains. Gather a Cricut machine, Cricut mat, vinyl, transfer paper, and acrylic keychains for this idea.
#5 Canvas Tote Bag – The options for creating personalized canvas tote bags are endless. Narrow the design options to prevent crafters from getting overwhelmed with design choices. This project is a great choice if crafting with a certain theme in mind. Use a Cricut machine, Cricut mat, iron-on vinyl, a home iron or Cricut Easypress, and a canvas tote bag to complete this craft.
