This 4th of July Patriotic Framed Sign is a cute addition to July decor. I am sharing this post as a part of the Cricut Ambassador Program. My opinions and craft tutorials are my own. This post may contain affiliate links, which won’t cost you extra, but helps support this site.
It’s May, but the patriotic decor in the craft stores has me thinking July 4th! As of the end of this week, all of my kids will be out of school, and our summer will officially start! I made this 4th of July Patriotic Framed Sign to be a festive addition to my decor (which I will officially start putting out at the end of next week). This craft only takes 15 minutes to create!
Supplies:
- Cricut Explore Air 2
- StandardGrip Cutting Mat
- White frame with the glass portion discarded
- American Flag burlap
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
- White card stock
Open up Cricut Design Space. I’m using this 4th of July image that I receive as a Cricut Access subscriber.

I measured the inside of my frame and sized the 4th of July image to fit. Since the image was more square and the frame was vertical, I also added a few 1 inch stars to add at the bottom.
Cut the images and stars from the white card stock.
Set these aside.
Using the backing of the frame as a template, cut a piece of American Flag Burlap to the same size.
Hot glue the burlap to the backing of the frame.
Hot glue the “4th of July” wording and the stars on top of the burlap.
Insert and secure into the frame.
If you had rather have a piece of decor that can also be used for Memorial Day or Veteran’s Day, change up the wording so that it can be used for more than one holiday.
That burlap is amazing!!
I have never seen that American Flag burlap! It is so festive!
I love the burlap with the patriotic colors! my house is decorated very patriotic/rustic. This is a project I would love to try!
