Is your family a Star Wars family? Ours is, and they are excited for these 4 Star Wars Inspired Shirt Designs that I made for them with my Cricut machine! This craft idea post contains affiliate links. Typically my kids do not get excited about my Cricut crafts. But when they heard that Cricut Design Space now contains Star Wars images, they gained a new appreciation for my Cricut machine! They are all planning on wearing Star Wars shirt for May the Fourth, a day that they have declared Star Wars Day. My daughter’s favorite character is Chewbacca, but the boys like all of the characters. It didn’t take much begging for me to oblige them with a few shirt designs. After all, it’s not often that the kids beg me to go craft!
All of these designs use the new Star Wars images from Cricut Design Space. A purchase is required for these images. You may purchase them through Design Space, either per image or the entire image set together. Once you’ve purchased an image, you do not have to purchase it for subsequent projects. You’ll notice that I used several of the same ones (like the Chewbacca image) for these designs. If your child or you have a favorite character, then you can just purchase that one.
No matter which design that you are creating, all of the basic supplies are the same.
Supplies:
- Blank shirt
- Cricut iron-on lite vinyl in your choice of colors
- StandardGrip Cutting Mat
- Cricut Weeding Tools
- Cricut machine (I’m using the Cricut Explore Air 2)
- Either a home iron, Cricut EasyPress, or heat press
- Optional: If using the Cricut EasyPress, the Cricut EasyPress Mat is a valuable addition to this project!
