3 Kid-Friendly Places to Eat on St. Simons Island {That Adults Will Enjoy, Too!}

Our stay at The King and Prince Resort on St. Simons Island was awesome, but if you are planning a visit then you may be in need of some restaurant recommendations. As a parent, I know that not all restaurants are a perfect fit for a group of kids. Sometimes we are skeptical of lugging all of our kids into a new restaurant. We did not venture to many restaurants during our stay, but the three we ate on St. Simons Island were all winners.

ECHO

The on-site restaurant at The King and Prince Resort was exceptionally kid-friendly. The food was quality yet resonably priced. Check out this post to see the kid’s menu and food photos. Yet my husband and I were amazed at how a restaurant could be kid-friendly yet elegant for adults, too. From appetizers to dessert, my husband and I didn’t try a meal that we didn’t enjoy. The grouper sandwich and grouper tacos were AH-MAZING! The ECHO staff were friendly and attentive. Our entire dining experience made us wish ECHO were close enough to head to for a regular Friday night dinner at home!

Mellow Mushroom

Is there a Mellow Mushroom that isn’t awesome? The Mellow Mushroom on St. Simons Island has seating for big parties and serves everyone’s favorite pizza. My kids have discovered that the Mellow Mushroom’s in different locations have fun, local decor, and they ask to check out the Mellow Mushroom in each place that we ever visit.

Southern Soul Barbeque

Most of my kids love barbeque, and sharing a big plate is a tasty way to full up for a day at the beach. Southern Soul Barbeque is an award-winning barbeque joint on St. Simons Island. We ordered take-out, and even during a busy lunch hour our order was ready in 10 minutes.
