Foam Gift Tags & Sizzix Giveaway

A special thanks to Sizzix for sponsoring today’s giveaway!

A few weeks ago I shared how I embellished a set of baby bibs with my brand spankin’ new Sizzix Big Shot machine. The Sizzix is awesome because it cuts through all kind of materials, like fabric, or foam! You know that foam material that kids love to craft with? Yep, the Sizzix slices right through it. I used a gift tag die set to whip these out in no time. Since the foam is more sturdy than paper, the tags can be used for things other than gift-giving, too. But since it’s almost Christmas, of course we’ll be using ours for gifts! See how to easily make these tags, and read on for what you really want to see- a Sizzix giveaway!

Follow the instructions to layer the die and the foam and cut out the tag.

If using a darker color foam, cut out a smaller insert to glue on top of the darker color so that any writing will be readily visible. Use glue to attach the smaller shape to the larger foam shape.

I played around with the Texturz Starter Kit on the foam- just to see what it would do. The texture did transfer to the foam a bit, but it was definitely not as noticeable as it is on card stock.

Attach twine or ribbon in the hole to complete the gift tag.
