Since it looks like we will never dig out of this snow, the little one and I have been doing lots of projects. She is getting bored to say the least, so I’ve been trying my best to keep her occupied. The Monster Stick Puppets that we made were just the beginning. We have these Foam Dinosaur Stickers that we’ve been wanting to use for something fun for a while. The awesome folks at CraftProjectIdeas.com sent them to us. I decided that they would make a good addition to a little Preschool learning activity– a CopyCat Dinosaur Picture. The point of this activity is for the little one to emulate my picture while placing their own creativity into the painting.
The fun aspect of this is that there really are no rules! Create a simple painting, challenging your preschooler to listen carefully and copycat you. Paint hills, trees, clouds, and the sun. Have them paint their own version. Let the paintings dry fully. Place the foam dinosaur stickers on the painting.
Display your copycat paintings. This makes a great snow day craft!
